#NewMusicTuesday: AJR

Calling all lovers of a seriously catchy tune! This week we’re busting out the moves for NYC-based indie pop band, AJR. AJR is the perfect combination of all the great sounds of past and present. The trio notes inspiration from The Beach Boys and Simon & Garfunkel, and their latest hits draw elements from Imagine Dragons, Fun., and even some Kanye West.

Brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met are born-and-raised city kids who got their musical start performing on the streets and in the parks of New York. Now, with successful singles like “I’m Ready” and “Let the Games Begin” under their belt, the dynamic trio is back with a new single, “I’m Not Famous.”

In addition to crafting up new jams in their Chelsea apartment — where AJR writes, records, and produces all of their own music — the brothers are busy attending college. Ryan and Jack are currently studying film at Columbia University, where Jack, 25, also attended.

Between stints on The Today Show, Michael & Kelly, X Factor Australia, and VH1 Big Morning Buzz, the brothers joined iHeartRadio’s Paul Costabile to play some fun musical pranks on unsuspecting park goers. Watch below as these jokesters try to go unnoticed!
