#NewMusicTuesday: Jon Bellion

Most of you are probably familiar with the unique sound of Jon Bellion, who has captured the hearts of fans all over the world with songs such as the electro-poppy “All Time Low” and indie rap “Ooh.” Most of you are probably unfamiliar with this singer/producer’s third hidden talent: animation. Bellion made a name for himself through a publishing deal with Kara DioGuardi, which led him to become a part of multiple chart-topping hits, including Eminem’s “Monster” and Zedd’s “Beautiful Now.”

Turning from producing for the moment, Bellion has recently released his first solo album, The Human Condition, which debuted on the Billboard album chart at No. 5 last week. The collection of songs exhibits the full depth and scope of the young artist’s talent. Bellion is responsible for not only writing, producing, singing, and rapping, (and curating the unique blend of rap, hip hop, indie rock, and electronic sound), he also created the visual art for the album. This, he claims, is all a business proposal for Pixar.

In an exclusive, behind the scenes interview with iHeartRadio, Bellion talks about his passion for drawing and animation, and shares his greatest inspiration: visual and musical artist Phil Collins. Much like Collins, Bellion’s multifaceted skillset is truly impressive.
