Great News—iHeartRadio Has Been Nominated For a Webby Award And Received a Webby Honoree!

There’s exciting news coming from iHeartRadio today: We’re in the running for a Webby Award! The 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards has been nominated in the “Events: Social” category. This selection recognizes all of the amazing work that iHeartRadio’s social media teams did to promote last year’s music awards ceremony.

iHeartRadio also received a Webby Honoree in the “Social: Arts & Entertainment” category for our “Favorite Tour Photographer” social campaign. Leading up to the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards, the iHeartRadio social team launched a campaign around the ceremony’s new category, “Favorite Tour Photographer.” This prize recognizes all of the creatives who capture the magic of music through a camera lens.

This isn’t the first time iHeartRadio has been recognized by the Webbys: In 2017, the iHeartRadio Artist Stories program was honored for the “Best Film & Video - Unscripted (Branded)” category. The Webby Awards is an international awards program that celebrates the best of the internet across various forms of media, including websites, video, advertising, media & PR, social, apps and podcasts. The ceremony is overseen by the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences. This group selects five nominees for each category and then the winner. Nominees in each category are also in the running for a Webby People’s Voice Award, which is selected by a public vote from the online community.

Head over to “Events: Social” category on the Webby Awards website to help us win the Webby People’s Voice Award. And congratulations to all of the team members who worked on this campaign—your hard work paid off!
