Artist of the Week: Dua Lipa

Dua Lipa is an English singer, songwriter and model. Her musical career began at the age of 14, when she began covering songs by artists such as Christina Aguilera and Nelly Furtado on YouTube. In 2015, she was signed with Warner Bros. Records, releasing her first single soon after. The past two years have been a whirlwind for Dua, with many of her initial singles charting in countries all around the world.

Dua Lipa’s breakthrough came in August 2016, when the single “Blow Your Mind (Mwah)” was released, becoming her first entry on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. More recently, Dua Lipa has collaborated with the likes of Sean Paul and Martin Garrix, and confirmed this week that she’ll be playing at the iconic Glastonbury Music Festival in England.

And guess what? After more than two years of hype, Dua Lipa’s finally releasing her self-titled debut EP on June 2, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. In anticipation of this milestone, Dua stopped by our studios for an exclusive interview to talk about her new album, and the process that went into making the record: video
