Artist of the Week: Sia

Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, known simply to her fans as Sia, is an Australian singer, songwriter, record producer and music video director. Beginning her career in Adelaide in the mid-1990s, Sia moved to London, England, where she sang, wrote, and guest-appeared in various bands for over a decade before reaching mainstream success.

In 2014, Sia released her breakout sixth studio album 1000 Forms of Fear, which debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. Billboard 200 and generated the top 10 breakthrough single "Chandelier." This past year, Sia released her seventh studio album This Is Acting, which spawned her first No. 1 single, "Cheap Thrills." In 2016, Sia also went on her epic Nostalgic for the Present Tour, incorporated performance art elements. For her incredible talent, Sia has deservedly received a number of awards, including ARIA Awards and an MTV Video Music Award.

It was an incredible year for Sia, and now she’s up for Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Lyrics for “Cheap Thrills” at the 2017 iHeartRadio Music Awards.
