Artist of the Week: Kane Brown
Our Artist of the Week Kane Brown is single-handedly redefining country music—and we’re into it! Brown grew up moving around a lot, living in rough areas of Tennessee, North Georgia and elsewhere, which has shaped the music and lyrics he’s creating today. And while he defines his style as distinctly country and has nothing but respect for his fellow country stars, he’s anything but cowboy boots and pickup trucks!
Brown has a unique sound inspired not only by country icons like Shania Twain and Tim McGraw, but also his passion for R&B, his affinity for pop, and his admiration for Chris Young, for whom Brown is currently opening on tour. Brown’s new album Experiment, which dropped today, is just that—an experiment in combining old school country with new techniques and unexpected vocals. Look for songs with deep messages too, like the track “American Bad Dream,” which touches on school shootings.
We’re excited to see what the future will bring for Brown, who recently performed at our iHeartCountry LIVE with Kane Brown Powered by M&M’S: A First Look Inside his new album Experiment at the iHeartRadio Theater NY. Listen to his next album, Experiment, on iHeartRadio and get to know this transformative artist!
