Artist of the Week: Thomas Rhett
Country artist Thomas Rhett is back with his fourth, most autobiographical album to date, Center Point Road. Beautifully written and perfectly produced, this new album is all about nostalgia and connecting the details of the past to your current journey. Center Point Road will have you crying, dancing and reminiscing on where you’ve been and where you’re going.
Rhett co-wrote all 16 songs on the album with other popular collaborators like Ryan Tedder, Kelsea Ballerini and Amy Wadge. Rhett even features Ballerini and her powerful voice on the album’s title song, “Center Point Road.” In this song, Ballerini and Rhett sing about the blissfulness of youth as they both call back memories of the past: “We wrote our own destiny in parking lot and empty streets,” they sing. “When growing up was just a dream, and Friday night was everything.”
Another one of the instant hits from the album is a song called “Remember You Young.” This emotional and epic song goes deep into Rhett’s personal life, discussing his childhood friends, marriage, children and faith. Center Point Road is Rhett at his most personal, and we’re here for it!
